Within the past years, we have made major achievements in building an efficient management structure, establishing modern financial and HR systems.
We have built an international management and implementation team with extensive international WASH, public health and program management experience. A strong local team is paired with an international team of advanced professionals. Our multidisciplinary team has broad and specialist experience in the fields of water, sanitation, hygiene, engineering, public health, IT, business administration and program management.
To strengthen the organizations management and administrative systems, MSABI is supported by the international WASH consultancy firm GHD and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
For financial management of programs MSABI employ a finance and administration manager and an accountant. We use the professional and open source double entry accounting software Gnu Cash. Our accounting systems have been established to be capable of managing large and detailed programs. Dedicated cost centres are opened for individual projects and donors. All payments must be authorised by two signatories and expenses supported by proof of purchase and receipts. We produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Reports are reviewed and signed by the management team. Full details of our finance policies and procedures have been collected into our accounting and administration manuals.
