MSABI was started in 2009 in response to frequent cholera and typhoid outbreaks in the rural regions of Tanzania. Today MSABI is active in very remote areas in the Morogoro Region, covering an area of more than 50,000 Km2 with bad roads and difficult to access villages.
A young, multidisciplinary and dynamic team of approximately 80 staff enables the delivery of a highly modern and efficient program. MSABI acts as a social business incubator. We are pioneering progressive and innovative hardware and software systems with the aim of creating locally owned water and sanitation service delivery businesses. Examples businesses include the manufacture of water filters, drilling of boreholes, production of hand pumps, water point maintenance services and sanitation enterprises.
