Hi Dale here. I have just returned from a 2 week trip to Asia. The first half was spent in Kuala Lumpur where I attended the 2nd International Water Association Development Congress. The congress was attended by small and large organisations working on solving water and sanitation issues in developing countries. There were also awards presented and MSABI was honoured with one of two awards in the hardware water supply category.
We actually missed the official ceremony because we were getting a grand unofficial taxi tour of KL. Damn those taxi drivers! IWA president Glen Daiger presents a lovely glass award to me.
I gave a presentation at the KL congress.
KL appears to be a rich city with some amazing old and new architecture. Though the whole city vibe is rather sterile.
That is until the last night we discovered where we should have been spending more time. Street restaurants in KL. The stingray was a real surprise.
The view from my hotel room at KL was pretty sureal. Thanks to GHD for sponsoring the trip and to IWA for sponsoring our attendance and giving MSABI our award!
Second half of the trip to Cambodia to follow later.
